Retro Gun

My first custom 1911 was an Armand Swenson built Colt and before I ever began my career or built my first 1911 I was a student of pistolsmithing history and the builders who formed it. My fascination with the lineage and history of my craft has carried over to my work and these retro styled guns are my way to pay tribute and honor the custom 1911s of the previous generations. These classically styled pistols feature a functional blend of old-world handwork and current technology to showcase the classic elegance of pistol building through traditional styling cues and modifications. 

Squared and checkered trigger guards combined with a retro-styled beavertail and Bo-Mar style adjustable rear sight boldly tell the story of this pistols heritage and maintain the era correct appearance of the gun. The classic lines of the custom 1911 are further accented with tasteful modifications like a ball-cut and bordered slide, traditionally styled ambi-safety, and defining touches like a perfectly executed de-horn and finish. The result is a pistol that’s equally at home in any knowledgeable collectors gunroom or on the range tucked into a classic IWB holster.

As with every pistol I build, these guns are meticulously handcrafted one at a time for the discerning shooter, collector, enthusiast, or historian of pistol craft.
